Oktoberfest 2021 at Ruttger's

It’s that time of year again! Break out your favorite pair of lederhosen and your best dirndl to come and celebrate Oktoberfest at Ruttger’s! One of our most beloved festivals and long-standing traditions, Oktoberfest at Ruttger’s is the fall event you won’t want to miss.

This year, Ruttger’s Oktoberfest festivities will stretch throughout the entire weekend of October 22 to October 24. And each year, Oktoberfest draws in a great crowd ready to celebrate together and enjoy delicious beer, experience German traditions, eat fantastic food, dance, sing, and shop from wonderful vendors set up throughout the entire festival. Not a terrible way to spend your weekend and revel in one last celebration before winter settles in!

Harvest Buffet Dinner Shows

Festivities kick off Friday night with the Harvest Buffet Dinner Shows at Ruby’s. Festival-goers will indulge in traditional German food while enjoying great musical entertainment featuring the Alpensterne with the Narren of New Ulm. There are two dinner shows — the first begins at 6pm, and the later show begins at 8pm. You can also head over to the White Oak Grill to explore their menu, which will be offering great German specials along with their regular menu in case you have a sudden craving for a classic burger or nacho plate.

Make sure you’ve gotten a good night’s sleep Friday, as you’ll want to be well-rested for the slew of fantastic events lined up on Saturday. You can start your day early by fueling up at the breakfast buffet at Ruby’s, which opens from 7am to 10am.

Arts & Crafts Fair

Then you’ll be ready to explore our sprawling Arts and Crafts Fair! With over 100 booths and vendors situated both outside and inside the Main Lodge, you’ll be sure to find something you love or even get a head start on the holidays and buy one-of-kind gifts for your loved ones!

Along with great vendors, Ruttger’s will also offer terrific specials at Auntie M’s, Ann’s Bay Lake Boutique, The Garage, and The Fine Line Salon & Spa. You’ll find an End-of-Year Clearance Sale with everything up to 50% off at Ann’s Bay Lake Boutique, Lobby Shop, and The Garage.

The Fine Line Salon & Spa offers a great special with buy one, get one 50% off on Aveda products. (And for anyone who uses Aveda products, you know that’s a great deal!)

Also, be sure to stop by the Lobby Shop + Booth #24 for all your Oktoberfest gear — cozy hooded sweatshirts, t-shirts, and more great memorabilia. The Arts and Crafts Fair is on Saturday only, opening at 9am and closing down booths at 4pm. So, you’ll want to make sure you give yourself enough time to peruse all the great vendors!

Musical Entertainment

On Saturday, if you need a break from shopping and eating and beer-drinking, you can rest and enjoy some musikalische unterhaltung (musical entertainment)! This year Ruttger’s Oktoberfest will be featuring the wonderful music of the Concord Singers, Narren of New Ulm, and Alpensterne, performing German classics along with some familiar favorites. (In particular, we fondly remember a resounding rendition of “Sweet Caroline!”) The traditional Tapping of the Keg will be at 11am.

We’ll be wrapping up the festivities on Sunday, where you can recover from the weekend events with another tasty breakfast buffet at Ruby’s from 7:30am to 11am.

And to ensure you have a guaranteed fantastic time when you come, be sure to bring your ID as staff will be checking everyone’s ID. You don’t want to miss out on imbibing tasty German beer, one of the quintessential Oktoberfest activities! Also, be sure to bring cash as food booths are cash-only.

We know we’re excited for this Ruttger’s classic. So get ready to enjoy traditional German food and entertainment all weekend long at Ruttger’s Oktoberfest.

Let the festivities begin! Prost! (Cheers!)
