
Lead Bartender
Assist’s Food and Beverage Director to ensure that all products meet Ruttger’s quality standards. Responsible for providing a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Responsible for the set-up, maintenance, and operation of the bar & restaurant in the absence of the Food and Beverage Director. Takes drink and/or food orders from guests or servers. Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes. Serves wine, bottled and/or draught beer and ale. Rings drink orders into POS system, collects payments and makes change as necessary. Washes and sterilizes glass and stemware. Maintain interdepartmental lines of communication and interact daily with guests and resort staff.

· Assists as directed to oversee front of house operations in the absence the Food and Beverage Director.
· Attend weekly stand up and precon meetings.
· Assists Food and Beverage Director and estimates the amount of beer, wine and liquor needed and submits order to Food and Beverage Director; checks accuracy and quality of deliveries. Maintains security of all beer, wine & liquor.
· Orders all beverages and necessary bar supplies.
· Supervises all bartender/server activities, monitors drink preparation and methods.
· Resolves customer complaints about food quality and/or service.
· Ensures that proper cash handling procedures are followed.
· Assigns & ensure completeness of all pre-shift and post shift duties.
· Assists Food and Beverage Director with cleaning of bar and restaurant areas to maintain sanitation standards. Arranges for maintenance and repair of equipment.
· Monitors actions of staff and guests to ensure that health and safety standards and liquor laws are followed.
· Ensures proper security procedures are followed to protect employees, guests, and restaurant assets.
· Keeps Food & Beverage Director informed of all issues and takes prompt and corrective action where necessary.
· Foster positive working relationships and communication with all departments.
· Assists with monthly inventory.
· Assists Food and Beverage Director with weekly Schedule.
· Receives and delivers food and/or drink orders from guests or servers.
· Greets guests and informs them of specials, menu items, and any menu changes.
· Processes guest orders to ensure that all items are prepared properly and in a timely basis.
· Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for guests of bar and dining room following standard recipes. Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks. Serves wine, bottled or draught beer and ale from kegs.
· Rings food and beverage orders into POS system, process cash and credit card transactions.
· Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive and eye-catching displays.
· Assists with maintaining and organizing storeroom.
· Prepare fruits and vegetables for drink garnishes.
· Washes and sterilizes glass and stemware.
· Completes daily and weekl ycleaning duties.
· Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar, lounge, and deck bar areas. Stock workstations, bus and turn over tables.
· Any and all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· Must be at least 18 years old.
· Post-secondary hospitality management training highly desirable.
· Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in food preparation, front of house, and bar operation required.
· Minimum of one (1) year experience in a supervisory position recommended.

· Stand; walk; sit; kneel; lift; push; pull; reach with arms and hands; move objects weighing up to forty (40) pounds.
