** Fall color is quickly spreading across northern and central Minnesota with peak conditions now starting along the U.S./Canadian border. Sugar Maples are peaking a bright red orange and Green Ash trees have turned a golden yellow in and around the Bay Lake area - excellent fall color can now be found in the Bay Lake area and also along the U.S. Highway 169 drive on the west and south side of Mille Lacs lake. The best fall color in the Bay Lake area is between September 30th and October 7th but areas of fall color in wind sheltered areas will linger until mid October.

TODAY: Cloudy with rain and thunder through noon then mainly cloudy this afternoon with some peeks of sun along with spotty thunderstorms - some of the storms may produce heavy rainfall and hail today.
